While artist Melissa Belanger has always had a passion for artistic expression and a love for Halloween, it was only recently that she focused her creativity on the October 31 holiday.

 

Minnesotans and Wisconsinites CAN agree that pizza is delicious no matter how you slice it. There are brick-oven pies, New York-style slices, deep-dish delights and everything in between. So go ahead and reap the saucy rewards of your abundant river valley, one cheesy bite at a time.

 

Wisconsin and Minnesota runners of all ages came together for the annual Gopher to Badger 5K & half marathon, which began in Stillwater and ended in Hudson’s Lakefront Park.

 

For seven weeks this summer, people of all ages gathered on the grass in downtown Stillwater’s Lowell Park for “Summer Tuesdays.” The events featured local food and merchants, free live music and free family-friendly movies at sunset.

 

The Phipps Center for the Arts is busy preparing for its November opening of the musical fantasy, Into the Woods.

 

Dave Dahl is well known in thousands of homes throughout the Twin Cities metropolitan area as a popular meteorologist for KSTP-TV.

Twenty years ago, Roberta Scherf embarked on a mission to help her daughter, Rowan, who had been diagnosed with autism. Through determination and persistent research, Scherf discovered that a simple exercise of calming arm movements set to music profoundly helped her daughter.

 

For more than 200 years, Oktoberfest has been celebrated with frothy beers, savory German fare and musical merriment. Fortunately, you don’t have to travel far to join in on the fun.

 

Since Marine on St. Croix resident Mikayla Holmgren was born, she’s been on a mission to prove her doctors wrong. Born with Down syndrome and three weeks premature, they didn’t know if she’d walk or talk.

The YMCA’s Camp St. Croix in Hudson has been providing excellent programs for families for over a century in the tradition of healthy living, youth development, social responsibility and fun. Now, to commemorate another successful season of camping memories, Camp St.

 

To kick off Halloween, Stillwater has created the Trick-or-Treat on Main Street event. The party runs from noon to 4 p.m. on October 24 and 25.

 

As Minnesota settles in for another gorgeous autumn, Stillwater kicks off the season with its annual Harvest Festival and Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off in Lowell Park.
